Hi, nice to meet you! I am Mariska Visscher and the founder of the practice 'Helping Hands'. After a career of over 11 years in central laboratory administration, I unexpectedly found myself at home with a burnout. After a significant rest period, I tried to get back to work. But I couldn’t do it anymore. I could not do what I always did, or perhaps I no longer wanted to. This was the moment to begin a quest for my true self. What do I want? What do I find important? What gives me energy and what drains my energy? Through many courses, coaching sessions, and workshops, I discovered a lot about myself: that I am highly sensitive and can easily make contact, that I enjoy helping others, and that I like to discuss people's wishes, desires, and problems. To further explore myself, I started training to become an energetic therapist. This form of therapy aims to allow energy to flow freely. Energy cannot be seen, but it is everywhere around us. You can feel it. Additionally, I have experienced that the body is a key where much information is stored, but we often do not listen to it. Massage is the oldest form of bodywork. To be able to help people even better, I also started training to become a holistic massage therapist. Instruments I can use to restore imbalance include holistic massage, Healing/Reiki, EFT, and systemic work (family constellations). In 2015, I started my own practice 'Helping Hands' in Laren (Gld.), the place where I live with my family. I want to help you (re)find your balance and gain insight into yourself by finding your blockages together with you and healing old pain and emotions. By allowing you to experience and feel. To remind you of what you already know from your own essence and thus gain insight into who you are. So that you can move forward. Best, Mariska
