Hypnotherapy works quickly. In hypnosis, you work together with your unconscious. Your unconscious controls more than 90% of your behavior. This way, changes occur faster than when you try to change them consciously on your own. Hypnosis is a state of consciousness in which your critical mind takes a back seat, making you more susceptible to suggestions that will help you change. How does it work in my practice? I always start with a completely non-binding phone intake. Usually, 3 sessions are sufficient, but sometimes more sessions are needed. The sessions can take place in my practice in Dordrecht or online. Who am I? My name is Catharine Kloens, a hypnotherapist. I help people with anxiety and panic attacks so they can do everything they want again. What is hypnosis? Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness, also known as a “brain state.” Panic and anxiety can change quickly with the help of hypnosis. My background I worked for 30 years with the brain, at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Dordrecht. There, I daily made brain videos for patients to diagnose epilepsy. All those brain rhythms, alpha, beta, theta, delta, were no secrets to me, I thought. But when I discovered that the state of hypnosis can also be observed with an EEG, I was fascinated, why didn't I know this before? I started a hypnosis course to learn more about it. Hypnosis courses I was amazed time and again. Hypnosis is not just a different state of consciousness; you can change behavior very quickly with hypnosis. I struggled for years with fear of driving and insecurity due to experiences of being bullied. One hypnosis session made my fear of driving disappear. In two sessions, I resolved my insecurity. I want this freedom for everyone! Own hypnotherapy practice After my first hypnosis course, it was a logical step to start my own hypnotherapy practice. During the 2nd and 3rd courses, I still combined it with my work in the hospital. My own experiences with hypnotherapy and the experiences of my clients led me to eventually quit my hospital job to give sessions full-time. Hypnotherapy for anxiety and panic attacks With panic and anxiety, you feel taken over by your body; you can’t escape. This happens because it is an unconscious reaction. In hypnosis, you work with your unconscious. If you can't get the panic under control after trying so much, try it unconsciously. How amazed will you be?
