I am a 'Holistic Parenting Advisor' and have been guiding parents in raising their children for over 15 years. My services are covered by health insurers and municipalities. How did I get to this point? When I had young children myself, emotional outbursts occurred more frequently and intensely, and I often felt very lonely and alone. I could no longer 'suppress' the traumas from my youth. Additionally, my physical body changed and I was very tired. I suddenly had the responsibility for two more lives. I had no idea how to guide them to become nice and creative people; people who come here to do what brings them joy, happiness, and peace. I was really just surviving and was overwhelmed by everything without knowing how to cope with it. That was the moment I thought: HELP, I can't handle it anymore. I need help. Then I went back to school to study Orthopedagogy at the University of Amsterdam. I learned all about parenting and parenthood that was not obvious to me, such as what the basic needs of children are and how to provide them. I began to realize that there are other people who understand things better than I did at that moment and that it is completely normal not to know everything automatically based on your own upbringing... What I also couldn’t see at that time were all the good things I did: who I was: the parent who had the ability to be a great mother to two children. After that, I pursued the energetic training in Intuitive Development, which got reimbursed by health insurers, and Mindful Parenting (also at the University of Amsterdam), which got reimbursed by municipalities. And this is what my life looks like now... my children are enthusiastic about what they do, full of confidence and creativity, love their lives, and I am so proud of them. There is so much love in the house.
